Step by step
To sign up, click "Let's walk" and on the next screen enter your cellphone number.
And we’ll send you a four-digit code that you enter to confirm that it's you.
Next, fill out your profile so other walkers can get to know you. Write a brief "About Me" with a max of 140 characters, and add tags, such as "Weight loss", "Company name", "Your goals" to match with other walkers.
You can view all your stats, and thanks to the Apple Health app you can watch your progress all the way, here
Then you can start straight away by checking for public walks in your area
Or setting up a walk and then sharing it with your friends on social media
Just name your starting time and place, here is where you give its duration and the number of people you're taking
You give your walk a title, and you can write about it using up to 1000 characters. Then here you write any notes you think necessary, e.g. "Bring a water bottle"
You can invite someone on your walk or ask to be invited on theirs.
When you're a member, you'll see all your stats here, walks, miles, followers, etc
So what are you waiting for? Don't be afraid - walking is one of the safest things you could do. You take more risk jaywalking in LA during rush hour than in crossing all of America's national parks. And thanks to tracking technology, the dangers of getting lost and starved are nil. There's an old saying among walkers, "With GPS, you never have to eat your friends".
